A Noiseless Night

The horses gently trod along the well worn road
Shrugging their load behind them
Silence beneath them do they horde
As the beating of sound breaks the gentle night

The beating clamor comes from the balcony I’m on
The roar of a party does it best
Never resting and shattering the dawn
Quiet moving travelers shift their heads out of detest

Silently my ears pick out the sound
Of no more to say or withhold
That silence passes onto me what little it found
Hanging behind the doors to the balcony
